This piece has lots of thick paint and is depicting a figure looking forward, a new year is upon us.

A time to reflect and make resolutions.

A time to be grateful for all that we have.

I used a muted palette and grayed down the sky in order for the figure to pop a little.

It is similar to my small studies of women that I did originally months ago.

It is fun for me  to go back to the more impressionism-style that I started out doing.

She is soulful and thoughtful with her body language.
