We are experiencing quite a heat wave here and it is causing me to paint in warm colors.

Using thick paint and an ethnic feel, these women I paint take on a life of their own.

They come to me via the brush and I just enjoy the ride.

Sometimes a figure or face will emerge as in this piece on the lower left side, I see a face and a nose on the right of the figure.

All part of the fun of abstraction.

You can plan all you want, but you have to go with it to keep it fresh and abstract.
