Mostly oils and oil sticks with some cold wax are allowing me to make a patchwork feel for the land. Palette knives and a variety of brushes are used to achieve this rather unfinished and imperfect look.
I’m always drawn to shapes in nature,, a beautifully manicured row of boxwoods coupled with the chaos of flowers going their own way. The waves form stripes and the ever present horizon is not such a perfect line here but present nonetheless. It’s coming along, I love the process.
