In my beach series of dark days, this is smaller and makes a different statement. Again using a limited muddied palette, these coastal scenes are always a joy to paint. For the ocean I use Ultramarine and yellow ochre with a tiny bit of white to make it gray and gloomy. The cool colors are appealing and go in so many different home and office styles.
